Company Information
In 2010 the Old School Trustees decided to form a Company Limited by Guarantee on the advice of funders. A new set of article were drawn up and at our AGM in February 2011 we held the necessary consultation with our members and the Company was registered on 6th April 2011.
It became financially active on 1st September 2012. As is necessary we then formed a new charity and transferred the assets to the new body which is called South Brent Old School Community Centre Limited.
The registered office is at the Old School Centre, Totnes Road, South Brent, Devon TQ10 9BP.
Privacy
As you may be aware, on 25th May 2018 all organisations, including small charities such as South Brent Old School Community Centre, are required to comply with the General Data Projection Regulations (GDPR) or risk fines. Although there are already laws on data protection the GDPR will give individuals more rights and security, making it easier when personal date is held by any organisation to see, amend or have that data deleted.
South Brent Old School Community Centre promises to respect any personal data you share with us and will keep it safe and secure. We always aim to be clear about why we collect your data and won’t use it for anything you wouldn’t reasonably expect of us as a Charity.
We will use your personal data, name and address and if you wish your email address, to keep you up to date on events and plans for the Centre. We will do this by sending or delivering newsletters 2 or 3 times a year and occasionally publicity material related to Centre based events. As a Charity we may also use your personal data (name) so that we can claim gift aid from HMRC but no personal data will be divulged to any other third party.
You will have the right to ask for a free copy of any of your personal data we hold and ask for it to be amended or deleted at any time by contacting the Manager
