Want to Make a difference?
Want to strengthen and grow community facilities in South Brent?
The Old School Centre is on the lookout for Trustees to help us in our work at the Old School Centre. There is an increasing need to have strong local facilities and services in South Brent – and becoming a Trustee at the Old School is a very effective way of supporting a thriving village. We host a range of facilities at the Centre and are looking at how we work with, and support, other organisations in and around South Brent. This is a real chance to make a difference for your local community.
If you would likew to discuss this please join us for a drinks , snacks and a discussion ahead of our Annual General Meeting.
Alternatively call Ross (01364 73665) or Mike (01364 72559) if you want some background on what the role involves and how you can get involved.

A Portable PA system is available to hire for use within the Centre. It is easy to move around the Centre as it has a retracteable pull handle and wheels. Powered by mains electricity or from a rechargeable internal battery the PA would be particularly appropriate to use in the Hall for Film Shows, Presentations, Private Parties or to provide background music. It could be used in the Aune or Beacon Room although we do have a small bluetooth ideal for smaller spaces.
Music could be played through the PA systems from various devices including
♦ MP3 player
♦ Memory stick
♦ Smartphone (Apple or Android)
….and even an electric guitar.
Two wireless microphones are available, if required, for use with the PA.
Terms of Hire
The charge for hiring the PA and all necessary cables is £5 per booking within any one day. If you need it for more than one day the hire charge would be £5 per day.
A refundable deposit of £25 will apply – subject to the PA being returned in the same condition and with all leads and microphones (as supplied to you) returned to the Manager.
The PA and other equipment/leads is to be used inside the Centre building only.
Instructions for Use
Please ask the Manager for appropriate instructions, depending on how you intend to use the PA. Alternatively you can download instructions by clicking the various uses below.
If you want to advertise your event there is an A-frame that can hold an A2 sized poster. This can be used inside or outside the Centre.
Please contact the Manager if you want to use the A- frame.
